   This really is kind of a pointless question to put on YA – we have no idea what your curriculum is or what interests you. the remit is so huge, I could suggest three right off the cuff and I’d be reasonably convinced that there is every likelihood you will know little or nothing about at least two of the topics because they haven’t been covered by your school curriculum. And if it is going to need to be 10 pages, you would be best choosing something you have a depth of knowledge about,or an interest in, again we, the YA community cannot know what that might be…. Making the right choice of topic is part of the overall assignment, making a judgement call based on your knowledge. For example, if you chose a topic suggested by someone on YA becasue it sounded interesting, but then turned in a stinker of a paper because you didn’t have the in depth knowledge about the subject, would you prepared to explain to your tutor that you made the choice because it was suggested to you by someone on a public website?

   Here are a list of choices:

   1.The Holocaust
   2.The Emanicipation Proclamation
   3.The Harlem Reinassance
   4.Marcus Garvey and The “Back To Africa” Movement”
   5.Hiroshima and the Atomic Bomb (you should read the book titled “Hiroshima if you are going to do this one.Great reading)
   6.The History of the American Flag
   7.The History behind the song “Star Spangled Banner”
   8.The Assassination of John F. Kennedy
   9.Similarities between the past and the present.Is it true that history repeats itself and if so what should we be learning from things that has happened in the past to keep from making the same mistakes in the future.
