College Essay is there anything even left to write?

I have to write an essay for a college. The question asked me to write a 500 word or more essay on why I want to go to the school excluding how nice the campus is, size of the campus, location of the school like if it's near beaches or if you live close to it, people you know there, price of the school. All I really have to write about is that I think I fit the kind of student that goes there, however, there isn't really a lot to write about for this. Any ideas on what else I can write?

  1. I would say write about the education structure. Perhaps look at US News ratings and see if it’s on their? I would also talk about your future after high school and how that specific college would help you in your future both at your job and getting that job.
    GOod luck.

  2. Well why do you want to go there? Are there classes/majors/professors that you’re interested in? What about overseas programs, are you interested in them? Is this your top choice university? If so what about this school sets it apart from the others? Have you always wanted to go to this particular school? This kind of question wants you to explain why, out of all the thousands of schools you could apply to, you chose this particular school.

  3. There is much to write about in a college essay that you did not mention in your question. In the area of your self knowledge there are these areas.

    1. What do you enjoy about learning is a good topic. Is it interesting to read books on certain subjects? Do you share your knowledge? Do you use the knowledge in jobs that you have had? Do things that you learn have value to other people that you know? Are your family, your school friends, your personal friends and others involved and interested in things that your know?

    2. What fields are you thinking about selecting in your studies at this university? Is it related to Business, Education, the Arts, Sports, Medicine, or other social sciences? Do you know about any of the major people in the areas you have chosen? Do you know any of them personally.

    3. Have you ever invented anything in the fields you have selected to study? Have you improved any aspect of your own living as a result of your knowledge. Have you improved the lives of your friends?.

If the questions in just one area were answered, they would make a stand alone college essay.

  4. LOL, time to get creative.

“Ever since I was four, I’ve had an abiding love of the Arabian dodo. Of its awkward plumage. Of its silly little dance. Of its tendency to eat its mate.

“Imagine, then, my horror to learn that the Arabian dodo is about to go extinct.

“All around the world, millions of species are about to be swept away by progress — and with them, a portion of the human heart.

“That’s why I want to study biology at Drobble U. By understanding the marvelous intricacies of nature, I hope to save the Arabian dodo, and other species like it, from the dark grave of extinction.”

Etc. See how easy it is? Just find something you care about, something that’s special to you, and write.
