how do you discuss own pilot study in professional dissertation?
i am doing my dissertation, and have to talk about a pilot study i have conducted. as i am writing third person throughout e.g using wording such as 'the participants were selected' rather than 'my participants were selected'.......i was wondering how would a talk about my own pilot study, could i say 'my pilot study involved'. any help much appreciated!

Before the final survey was given a pilot study was developed and administered so that any problems could be determined.
