The hardest part of writing is the first sentence. When you look at the whole project, it seems like an impossible task. That's why you have to break it down into manageable tasks. Think of climbing a mountain. You are standing at the foot of it and looking up at its summit vanishing into the clouds. How can you possibly scale such an immense and dangerous mountain?

There is only one way to climb a mountain ? step by step.

Now think of writing your ebook in the same light. You must create it step by step, and one day, you will take that last step and find yourself standing on the summit with your head in the clouds.

The first thing you have to do, as if you actually were a mountain climber, is to get organized. Instead of climbing gear, however, you must organize your thoughts. There are some steps you should take before you begin. Once you've gone through the following list, you will be ready to actually begin writing your ebook.

Beginning Steps to Writing an ebook

First, figure out your ebook's working title. Jot down a few different titles, and eventually, you'll find that one that will grow on you. Titles help you to focus your writing on your topic; they guide you in anticipating and answering your reader's queries. Many non-fiction books also have subtitles. Aim for clarity in your titles, but cleverness always helps to sell books as long as it's not too cute. For example, Remedies for Insomnia: twenty different ways to count sheep. Or: Get off that couch: fifteen exercise plans to whip you into shape.

Next, write out a thesis statement. Your thesis is a sentence or two stating exactly what problem you are addressing and how your book will solve that problem. All chapters spring forth from your thesis statement. Once you've got your thesis statement fine-tuned, you've built your foundation. From that foundation, your book will grow, chapter by chapter.

Your thesis will keep you focused while you write your ebook. Remember: all chapters must support your thesis statement. If they don't, they don't belong in your book. For example, your thesis statement could read: We've all experienced insomnia at times in our lives, but there are twenty proven techniques and methods to give you back a good night's sleep.

Once you have your thesis, before you start to write, make sure there is a good reason to write your book. Ask yourself some questions:

* Does your book present useful information and is that information currently relevant?

* Will you book positively affect the lives of your readers?

* Is your book dynamic and will it keep the reader's attention?

* Does you book answer questions that are meaningful and significant?

If you can answer yes to these questions, you can feel confident about the potential of your ebook.

Another important step is to figure out who your target audience is. It is this group of people you will be writing to, and this group will dictate many elements of your book, such as style, tone, diction, and even length. Figure out the age range of your readers, their general gender, what they are most interested in, and even the socio-economic group they
primarily come from. Are they people who read fashion magazines or book reviews? Do they write letters in longhand or spend hours every day online. The more you can pin down your target audience, the easier it will be to write your book for them.

Next, make a list of the reasons you are writing your ebook. Do you want to promote your business? Do you want to bring quality traffic to your website? Do you want to enhance your reputation?

Then write down your goals in terms of publishing. Do you want to sell it as a product on your website, or do you want to offer it as a free gift for filling out a survey or for ordering a product? Do you want to use the chapters to create an e-course, or use your ebook to attract affiliates around the world? The more you know upfront, the easier the actual writing will be.

Decide on the format of your chapters. In non-fiction, keep the format from chapter to chapter fairly consistent. Perhaps you plan to use an introduction to your chapter topic, and then divide it into four subhead topics. Or you may plan to divide it into five parts, each one beginning with a relevant anecdote.

How to make your ebook "user friendly"

You must figure out how to keep your writing engaging. Often anecdotes, testimonials, little stories, photos, graphs, advice, and tips will keep the reader turning the pages. Sidebars are useful for quick, accessible information, and they break up the density of the page.

Write with a casual, conversational tone rather than a formal tone such as textbook diction. Reader's respond to the feeling that you are having a conversation with them. Break up the length and structure of your sentences so you don?t hypnotize your readers into sleep. Sentences that are all the same length and structure tend to be a good aid for insomnia!

Good writing takes practice. It takes lots and lots of practice. Make a schedule to write at least a page a day. Read books and magazines about the process of writing, and jot down tips that jump out at you. The art of writing is a lifetime process; the more you write (and read), the better your writing will become. The better your writing becomes, the bigger your sales figures.

In an ebook that is read on the screen, be aware that you must give your reader's eye a break. You can do this by utilizing white space. In art classes, white space is usually referred to as "negative space." Reader's eyes need to rest in the cool white oasises you create on your page. If your page is too dense, your reader will quit out of it as soon as their eyes begin to tear.

Make use of lists, both bulleted and numbered. This makes your information easy to absorb, and gives the reader a mental break from dissecting your paragraphs one after the other.

Finally, decide on an easy-to-read design. Find a font that's easy on the eyes, and stick to that font family. Using dozens of fonts will only tire your readers out before they've gotten past your introduction. Use at least one and a half line spacing, and text large enough to be read easily on the screen, but small enough so that the whole page can be seen on a computer screen. You will have to experiment with this to find the right combination.

Of course, don't forget to run a spell and grammar check. You are judged by something as minor as correct punctuation, so don?t mess up a great book by tossing out semicolons randomly, or stringing sentences together with commas. (By the way, that's called a
"comma splice.")

Last of all, create an index and a bibliography. That's it! You've written a book! Now all you have to do is publish your ebook online, and wait for download request from your website visitors.

Writing a Dissertation can appear to be one of the most terrifying tasks of your entire education. This is because unlike an essay, the dissertation is a much longer piece of work that involves more complex ways of addressing the issues to hand. This article will look at some of the methods that you can adopt to help you to write the dissertation. Hopefully the advice will prove to be useful and will help you to achieve a high grade.

One of the most important elements of a successfully completed dissertation is the quality of the relationship that you have with your tutor. It is crucial that you establish a good understanding between you and the person who will be providing much of the feedback on your work. For this reason you will need to be sure at the beginning that the expectations that you have are in line with what the tutor hopes to help you with. Once you begin the dissertation, it is also important to maintain regular contact to ensure that your work remains focused and that you are keeping to a timetable that will have been mutually agreed beforehand.

Some students find that their tutor is more passive than they had hoped for and so if you are in this situation it can be a very good idea to establish working relationships with other students who are working on similar themes to your own. This can be mutually beneficial as it will allow for an exchange of information that can help you to stimulate ideas and also offer constructive criticism of the dissertation.

When planning the dissertation, the sensible approach to starting is to plan the entire project beforehand. It does not really matter that much if you change the original plan, but by providing a structure to your work you will find it much easier to work through each area of the overall dissertation. Clarity will ensure that you do not become stuck in a mess of ideas and concepts.

Therefore you should develop your ideas through a hypothesis. This is basically a simple statement that aims to test a particular argument or set of circumstances. From this you can expand to cover all of the arguments that relate to the main issue and also how certain evidence supports or contradicts this. Finally you should devise a basic conclusion based on the research that you conduct.

When you begin to write a dissertation it is easy to become obsessed by the project until you have completed it. This is not a very healthy way to complete the work and there is also no reason to subordinate other aspects of your life. Typically most students are given a number of months to complete long essays and dissertations and so if you plan your time well, you should be able to continue to enjoy a good social life with friends whilst you are working on the dissertation. It is important to always maintain a balance between your work and the other activities that you enjoy.

You may find it useful to create blocks of time during the week that you use solely for working on the dissertation. This routine will help you to focus and over a period of time will become easier to maintain. Good habits created from the start will ensure that you complete the dissertation as smoothly and quickly as possible.

Writing a marketing term paper can be a little different than a paper for another class. For one, it is often required that you use primary research in your term paper.

Unlike with most papers, which fully utilize only secondary sources (that is, research conducted by someone else and not yourself), marketing papers may use research that you do on your own. Since marketing is a hands-on field and requires personal research on the job, it only makes sense that you would have to do it for term papers as a method of preparation.

The reason primary research is included with a marketing term paper is because the term paper is usually not the only assignment. Projects are assigned in conjunction with the term paper, and they are supposed to be complementary to each other. Data collected from the project should be referenced in the term paper.

Thus, your data collection and analysis skills must be advanced along with your writing capabilities. It is best to work on the term paper after your project is finished, so you have all the necessary data ready and can decide when and if to use parts of it.

Obviously the topic of the term paper must have some relevance to the project, or you will not be able to use any of the data. Keep in mind that you do not need to use every piece of data that you collect, and it would actually be unwise to try to fit all of it in. Pick whatever you think is applicable and discard the rest, as if you put unnecessary content in to the paper, it will only drag your grade down.

As with any term paper, it is critical that spelling and grammar be accounted for. Even if all of your data and conclusions are valid and concise, the credibility of your paper can be reduced because of simple errors. Some people think that the simple F7 button (which is the shortcut for SpellCheck) is the solution to all of their grammatical problems, but that is far from true.

Many errors are physically incapable of being caught by a machine, such as switching up words or using the wrong word form. For example, a common error is using there instead of their, and spell checking software often does not pick up errors of that type. There is no substitute for human proofreading; whether it is done by you or a colleague, it simply must be a person (preferably your term paper should be looked over by multiple people).

Since there will be multiple sources included in your term paper, you must be sure to tell the reader where you used what source. This is accomplished through the use of parenthetical citations and a work cited page. Whenever you have a block of content in your paper that you either paraphrase or quote, you must end it with a parenthetical citation.

At the end of the paper, a works cited page will be constructed that has a list, in alphabetical order, of all your sources, and thus it can be easily referenced. Unless the content is common knowledge or your own thoughts, it must be cited. Failing to do this will result in an automatic failure and, in some cases, suspension or expulsion, so including this step is critical to success.

When writing a college term paper you will no doubt be aware that one of the most important parts of the whole project is to produce a strong conclusion. The concluding part of any paper represents the last opportunity that you have to demonstrate to the tutor that you fully understand the question and the issues that relate to it. It is also the only chance that you get to provide an answer on the basis of the evidence that you have provided.

This article aims to help you write a conclusion so that all of the above is included.

The first thing that you should do when you begin writing a conclusion is to re-read each of the key points that you have made in the essay. Next, summarize these points briefly in no more than a few sentences. A good conclusion helps the reader to understand your concluding remarks by tying together all of the arguments that you have made beforehand.

Secondly it is important to avoid adding completely new arguments and information into the final part of the term paper. This is a common error made by students and only serves to confuse the already existing and credible arguments that you have made. The only information that should be in the conclusion are those that you have already discussed in the main body of the essay.

Thirdly, many students will either be eager to get the paper finished by the time they get to the conclusion or they are struggling to find more resources to write about. When this happens, it is tempting to repeat at length the arguments that you have already made in the main text. As already discussed, the conclusion should be a summary of the key points and there is no real need to simply repeat what has already been written.

Fourth, it helps to guide the reader through the conclusion so that they can see how your key points relate to each other and also how you came to your conclusion logically. A common way of doing this is to use words such as firstly, secondly, etc. You can see that this method has been used in this article to help you understand each individual point separately.

The final point to be made about writing conclusions relates to the final statement that you make in the term paper. The statement does not need to be dramatic or indeed ground-breaking, but it is important that it makes an impact. The most common way to end the conclusion is to refer to the need to make further research in order to underline the points that you have made. Another is to highlight the importance of the issue or topic that you have discussed. Some students like to find an appropriate quote or short story that helps to emphasize the conclusion and this can be very effective too.

As you can see the conclusion does not require too much thought or effort. It is simply the last paragraph in which you tie all the strands of arguments that have already been made and then provide a clear statement in the concluding remark. That is all there is to it and it should not take that long to complete either. Remember that the conclusion is the last chance you get to convince the tutor that you understand what you have written about.

Take note of these great tips to help you and your fellow students write fantastic term papers for college. It isn't something to be ashamed of if you do need a little help with writing your college term paper. You are certainly not alone if you do require a little guidance. There are a few common mistakes that people make when writing college term papers and the jump from high school standard to the expected college standard can sometimes leave a huge gap.

The first thing to take note of is what your college teachers actually want from you in terms of content. You will be given a sheet detailing your assignment and you must read this very carefully indeed. Just in case, get someone else to read over it and to pinpoint what you need to do. They may spot something you had otherwise missed. Reading it aloud can also make sure that you are reading exactly what needs to be done and not just skimming over the details.

The second thing you must do is to brainstorm ideas for your assignment and college term paper. Instead of writing about the same thing everyone else is writing, make your term paper stand out head and shoulders above everyone else's assignments. Write of something unique, interesting to you and the readers and put on your creative cap!

Thirdly, and one of the most important parts of writing a really good and well thought out term paper; is to create an outline of your term paper. You don't have to rigidly stick to the guidelines you have made, but this creates a structure, which in turn makes it easier to follow when writing. It may be a good idea to show your projected guidelines to your teacher to see if they think what you have come up will work. Creating a guideline will also show that you have organizational skills and you can think ahead of time.

If you are including facts and figures in your term paper, you must be able to show where you found these resources and this information. You must always have enough evidence to back up any claims you happen to make in your paper. If you cannot back up what you have said, what you have said loses a certain amount of credibility and substance. It could also look like you haven't worked hard enough on your term paper.

When you are writing your introduction to your term paper, make it as creative as possible. You want to make it read like if someone doesn't read your term paper, they will be missing out on something huge! You could start with a social anecdote or a piece of vital information, or even a statistic that is quite startling. An imagination is never a disadvantage when writing your introduction.

You should only ever use credible sources when using them to quote certain facts, figures or quotations in your term paper. Finding those elusive good sources mean a really good college term paper; so, it is definitely worth the time and effort it will take to find those sources when you see your A grade. Writing a term paper doesn't have to be overly difficult; not if you choose your assignment carefully and research it as much as you possibly can in the time you have been allotted.

If you have been asked to write a research paper then chances are that you will feel a little unsure about how to complete the task, particularly if you have not written one in the past. However by taking the time to follow some good simple advice the good news is that you can do a lot in a short period of time to ensure that you produce a good research paper. This article will look at some of the most important elements of the paper and hopefully often some good advice along the way.

The first stage sounds simple but many students will get it wrong. The most important decision you have to make is to choose the right topic that you plan to write about. Do not choose one that is too general but also make sure that you choose one that is engaging and interesting enough to keep your attention and focus long enough to complete the paper.

The next thing that you should do is to spend enough adequate time researching your chosen topic. This means using the available library facilities to develop as many different sources of relevant information as possible. Should you rely too heavily on a single source, then you can expect your grade to been significantly lower as a direct consequence.

The next crucial stage is to develop and organize the arguments related to the key questions that surround the issue or topic that you have decided to write about. You should aim to construct a basic framework around the question that will help to guide you towards the final conclusions of the work.

The most important stage of the entire process is to create a first draft of the research paper. This is because so many people are hindered by the thought of getting started because they want to write the perfect or near perfect piece of work. Instead it is far more productive to simply just write something irrespective of it's grammatical or intellectual context. By allowing yourself to write freely you will get the research paper written a lot faster.

Once you have completed the first draft you should look at what the school that you are writing for expects you to do when collating the information that you use during your work. Most schools will produce their own rules and regulations regarding footnotes and end notes and it is important that you follow them as you write the research proposal. Likewise you need to correctly document every source that you have used to produce the research and this should also be done as the guidelines state.

The final advice that you should follow when writing the research proposal relates to the final draft and proof reading the work. It is vitally important that you take the time to read through every paragraph and page of the proposal in order to check for grammar, spelling and factual inaccuracies. Once you are satisfied you should also ask a close friend or relative to read through the paper to ensure that you have not missed anything as well.

Writing a good research paper does not have to be as stressful as you might imagine. Providing that you follow the simple guidelines outlined above, you should find that achieving a high grade is not beyond your abilities.

Imagine how you would feel if your articles were written for you? Here are five tips to write better articles for your business internet money online opportunity article marketing.

1. Know your target audience and write for them. Whatever you are writing about has to be done with the reader foremost in mind. The article is not about you but for them and you must write for your audience. Imagine you are the reader and make the article interesting from their perspective.

2. Write as though you know the reader’s heart and emotions. The more you can connect with the reader’s pain, problem or predicament the more you will be able to make them feel the article is for them.

3. Make the reader feel involved in your article. When you do this, the reader will understand that it is written for them not at them. This vital tip will help the reader imagine what you are trying to say. Once you have them involved, provide them a solution and they will be grateful.

4. Write statements that will help the reader trust you. Talk to the reader as an intelligent, responsible caring person reading your article to gain something from the experience. Do not waste their time. You probably have heard many times never to talk down to someone but to them.

Apply these writing tips for article marketing. I guarantee you will see your articles being read and appreciated more than ever and your business internet money online opportunity will benefit.

A dissertation paper is probably the most important project you have encountered in your life, as it is usually a requirement for attaining a Master's degree (although in this case it is often referred to as a thesis) and is always required for a Ph.D. If you have gotten this far, this final step in achieving such a prestigious degree should not be too difficult, as long as you know exactly how you are going to tackle the paper and are intensely familiar with the topic.

Dissertations are different from other papers because of their unique characteristics. For one, dissertations are exceeding long, often beyond ten thousand words, which comes out to about eighteen pages single spaced, and over thirty five pages double spaced. In addition, a dissertation must include heavy amounts of research, often primary, and the writer uses this research to promote a point or introduce an idea.

Technically, a dissertation should be worthy of professional or scientific journals, and in some cases they are included in them. Since this is a paper for an advanced degree, it is of extremely high caliber, and can take months to complete. There is no doubt that a dissertation takes a lot of work and is the longest report you will ever have done, but after you have completed it, you will feel exceedingly proud and will have completed the requirements for being awarded a higher level degree.

Traditionally, there are five parts to a dissertation; title, abstract, table of contents, body, and bibliography. Obviously, the body is the lengthiest and most important of the parts, and the others work to support the body. Since a dissertation is so long, the table of contents makes it easier for readers to find certain points in the work. The abstract serves a somewhat similar purpose, in that it is a summary of the body and quickly outlines the focus.

If one is unable to read the entire body, the abstract gives a clear overview of the content, usually including the end results. Although the abstract appears at the beginning of the dissertation, it is usually written last, as it is difficult to write a summary of something that is not finished yet.

The bibliography shows all of the works that are referenced in the body, and no dissertation is complete without having a list of the cited sources. Leaving out any one part of a dissertation can ruin its entirety, so it is critical that the paper be fully complete and not without any sections.

Depending on the subject in which the dissertation is written, there can be other requirements and styles besides the standard one. For example, dissertations of a scientific nature require have different research specifications than papers pertaining to other, dissimilar topics. Additionally, universities often have their own in house style requirements, and those will be provided by the professor.

Once the dissertation is completed, it is formally submitted. Unlike other papers, submission actually costs money, as the university binds, publishes, and optionally copyrights your work. Although costs vary by university, they often exceed one hundred dollars, although this price is worth it in exchange for a degree that can earn you an extravagant salary. Of course, besides the monetary fee, one also puts in a considerable amount of time and effort to complete the dissertation.

As you will no doubt become all too well aware of very quickly, in many undergraduate and postgraduate subjects studied at many colleges and/or universities the world over there is a need to produce your own dissertation - or what many call a thesis - regarding some aspect of a subject that you are studying in your dissertation proposal. This is usually a largely independent piece of work that you - the student - will get to pick the title for (in conjunction with an elected supervisor's advice of course to keep you on the right lines!).

However, before…

As you will no doubt become all too well aware of very quickly, in many undergraduate and postgraduate subjects studied at many colleges and/or universities the world over there is a need to produce your own dissertation - or what many call a thesis - regarding some aspect of a subject that you are studying in your dissertation proposal. This is usually a largely independent piece of work that you - the student - will get to pick the title for (in conjunction with an elected supervisor's advice of course to keep you on the right lines!).

However, before you get to this stage of looking to work with your chosen supervisor, you will usually be asked to first produce a dissertation proposal of your very own detailing the area that you would like to write about in your chosen subject and the title that you would like to work to.

Therefore, in this brief article I shall look to detail the practical requirements for a dissertation proposal in general regardless of the subject that you have studied (of course, you may have to allow for the requirements of your individual institution and the subject you are studying!).

As a result, you should raise and set out your proposal in the manner that follows below with little or no factual/descriptive material except where it directly explains, contextualises, or exemplifies the objectives of your proposal -

ABSTRACT - This will usually comprise a maximum of 250 words that serves to explain in brief terms, the context and academic issues that are to be addressed in the dissertation proposal to be expanded on in your dissertation/theses.

OPENING SECTION – A clear justification for the research area with an indication of the current academic issues being addressed in this area is also necessary for your dissertation proposal. In addition, an indication should also be given here as to any major and or recent shift/review of rank in your subject area. Moreover, you also need to appreciated that if your proposal is intended to be heavily exemplary, some justification of focus and emphasis should also be provided for you here.

CRITICAL RESEARCH QUESTION: It would be useful to set out in your dissertation proposal at least two main persuasive questions that will be addressed throughout the dissertation's discussion that you look to produce in your study. In addition, you also need at least six subsidiary/supportive critical questions.

But what are 'Pervasive Questions'?

An example is - To what extent are the risk to self-determination and/or development exemplified regarding the current land claims of Mozambique's bush people?

What is a subsidiary/supportive critical question?

An example is - What level of self-identification and/or historic cohesive need to be satisfied by a nation or culture in order to make a claim for self determination?

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY: This part of your dissertation proposal will serve to indicate the mode of inquiry and or main research methodology. By way of illustration, there is a need to consider whether you are engaged in a practical or theoretical study in your dissertation proposal. Moreover, you work should also indicate your main research tools for your dissertation proposal - are they quantitative or qualitative? In addition, you must also look to explain the appropriateness of your chosen methodology and/or your research tools for what you are looking to discuss in your dissertation/theses in your dissertation proposal. Furthermore, your dissertation proposal should also discuss whether you have considered and or rejected other relevant modes/tools of analysis and explain the reasons why you have chosen to reject such alternatives approaches.

AN ANNOTATED BIBBLIOGRAPHY: This bibliography in your dissertation proposal is to be limited to relevant material with all the material cited - whether it is a textbook, journal articles, from out of a newspaper or off of a website with a justification and an explanation of the value of the materials that you have chose to help with the dissertation writing proposal from out of your dissertation proposal.

CONCLUSION: What readers are you targeting? What use do you foresee for your dissertation proposal? What do you intend to resolve regarding your chosen subject area of discussion?

Therefore, this article should hopefully get you thinking in the right way about this kind of academic work so that you are then able to expand on the ideas here with the other resources you find useful including 'The Secret Guide to Academic Writing & Study' that can be found via http://www.academicfx.co.uk.

College term papers are an integral part of many college grading systems. It is the rare college program that does not require the student to produce a good college term paper in order to pass their course. Some college term papers are so important to a student's grades, that one bad college term paper can seriously affect the students final mark and ability to pass the course.

With the importance of the college term paper in mind, you can see why it is a good habit to start working on a term paper as soon as it has been assigned. Waiting until the last minute to start and finish the term paper can result in a lower mark than that which could have been achieved if the paper had been started earlier.

When you are developing the college term paper, it is important to follow any guidelines as set out by the instructor. Failure to do so is another factor that can lower your grade on the term paper. Be certain that you understand all of a teacher's style requirements from the assignment.

Developing a schedule that will give you adequate time to write and edit your term paper will get you into the habit of working on the assignment regularly. Your term paper will become more polished as you spend more time perfecting it. When you devote time to your term paper regularly, it offers you the the necessary time to find the necessary resources to cover your subject well and develop strong ideas to support the thesis statement of the paper.

When you are designing the structure of your term paper, a great thesis statement will provide a backbone for the outline. Just like any other formal document, you will need an introduction, main body and conclusion to your term paper. The right thesis statement will be branched out and developed in the main body of your term paper.

The sources of information that you choose for your term paper must be very reliable. Some instructors require that you get their approval on any sources, primary or secondary, that you will use in your research. You will have to keep precise citations of all resources that you use including print and on-line sources.

A well done college term paper will prove to the instructor that you have a firm grasp on the subject that is being taught. The term paper gives you a chance to show off any unique ideas that you may have about your chosen subject and to develop your ideas in such a way that any new ideas can be critiqued.

College term papers can hold the keys to your future so be sure to spend much time and effort on the paper regularly to make the best of the assignment. If you spend half an hour every day working on your college term paper once the assignment is given, you will be saved from the near impossible task of producing an excellent term paper in a short and stress filled period.
