Hi everyone! Okay so this video covers information on the 1790 census. I list all the states that are included in the census and I give details about what exactly you'll find in this year. I also went into detail about how the US is divided. I know a lot of American natives will understand this, but I also know that there are a few international folks who are researching their American lines. Alrighty - so the states that are included in this census are: Conneticut, Delaware, Georgia, Maine, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachussetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia. Alright - so the way the US is divided (and the proper way to record places) is as follows: City, County, State, Country. Alright everyone so enjoy this part of the series and please comment/rate. I love hearing from you guys and it really does help me improve. Also, sorry for the late upload.

News Update: Morgan Stanley Picks Up Citigroup Talent (C,MS,NYX)

3/8/2010-Citigroup's (NYSE:C) Chairman of investment banking for financial institutions, Gary Shedline, is reportedly leaving the company to join the ranks of Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS), Bloomberg reported Monday morning citing sources familiar with the matter. The Bloomberg report said Mr. Shedlin told Citigroup of his intention recently, and was responsible for overseeing the NYSE Euronext (NYSE:NYX) merger. However, Citigroup's financial institutions group continues to be headed by David Head.

Having a little bit of experience with seventh graders and how nerve-racking it can be to take a standardized test at that age, we decided to create a video that would help students remember how to write a persuasive essay. The video provides the explanation of a simple acronym that they can remember and use during the test. The steps provided are basic components of an effective persuasive essay. They include taking a stand, sticking to the topic, supporting claims with evidence, considering the audience, citing sources, and explaining why. None of the steps included in the video will be new to students; however, seeing the steps in video form, together with what they have already learned previously, will solidify these basics in their mind such that they will be able to feel confident for a test. It is also a great resource for students who want to review for a test before taking it. The video is simple and short, a key feature being that it provides examples of specific parts of the essay so that students can make the connection between the instruction and practice. It would be beneficial for teachers to post the video as a resource for students to go to on their own time, so that time is not wasted during schools hours, reviewing content that they have already taught.

China trials ‘Chairman Rudd’s’ new Auzzie resources development tax in Xinjiang from June 1, LOL

(composite video) - China will start applying a new resource tax in Xinjiang region from June 1 that is expected to be adopted nationwide later, reducing the profitability of producers while feeding more revenue to local governments. Under the new tax regime, China will levy producers in the north-western region with a five per cent tax on the sales price of crude oil and natural gas and a 2-5 per cent tax on the sales price of coal in Xinjiang. The measures will raise more than 2 billion yuan ($US292.8 million) for the region this year, Caijing magazine reported..... The report, citing sources with the Ministry of Finance and State Taxation Administration, did not mention what tax rates would be applied to other resources, such as metals. China has said the tax changes in Xinjiang are geared to returning more revenues to the resource-rich area, the site of periodic unrest involving the Uighur ethnic group. The new tax will replace existing levies that are based on output .....on crude oil .....of gas and .....of coal. "The Xinjiang reform is not a trial, it is the first to start in China," China Academy of Social Sciences tax researcher Zhang Bin was quoted as saying. "The reform programme has matured." It was not clear when the tax reform would spread to other regions, according to the report. The tax changes are likely to mean producers pay more tax based on current prices, analysts said.
