What does it mean when it says “you must endnote all specific sources of information and all quotations” on a research paper assignment? Do I have to put quotations of the sources in endnotes or did it mean I have to make endnotes for quotations that I put in my essay? What am I supposed to do exactly?

I’ve never used endnotes before, I’ve only used parenthetical citations. I’m not really use to it, have a only a little idea about it. I kind of unsure what to specifically ask cause I don’t know that much about it….so, how about, if your citing something..maybe two or three different things, do they get they same number in the superscript………..if someone could give specifics that would be cool

I am writing a paper as a summer project for a history class, and I am supposed to use endnotes to cite my sources. I am citing from the Bible in more than one sentence, and I would like to know how to a.) cite the Bible using endnotes, and b.) cite it repeatedly.

I’m finishing a paper and I’m using endnotes. I was wondering if I have a source that shows up multiple times throughout the paper, am I allowed to repeat the source number if it causes the order of the numbers to not be numerical. For example, the superscripts might read, “1, 2, 3, 1, 4, 2, 5, 6″ if the sources relating to 1 and 2 are used in their respective spot.

I have Office 2004 for Mac. Whenever I write papers (which is frequently) I use the endnote feature for citations. I often use the cross reference feature as well. However, when I write a paper, cross reference, etc. and then go back and want to add something and reference it, the numbers for the endnotes adjust, but the cross references don’t. They stay the same and thus, are not accurate.
Is there any way to fix this so when you add references, things you cross reference will adjust as well?
Thanks!
