What is the Diana Hacker reference style? Is it the same as MLA or APA? Do I really need to buy the book?

I am writing a paper and the reference style needs to be done using the Hacker Pocket Style Manual..Can someone explain to me what this is exactly? Is it the same as MLA or APA? Is there a link that can tell me how to do it? ALL of my sources are online by the way

How do I cite [in the paper] two different books by the same author (MLA format)?

I’m using two different books by the same author for my research paper. Anthony Read. I know when you cite within the paper, you use the last name and the page number, but how do I distinguish which citation is from which book?

So far, I’ve just been including the year in the citation, but it looks funny. I’ve never used two works by the same author before and want to cite them correctly. I’ve tried looking up how to do it correctly and can’t really find a good answer…

I am writing a paper and need to put two footnotes after the same sentence. How do I separate the numbers?

It will be footnotes # 1 and 2. One is a citation and the other is a note about the sentence. I don’t want to just leave the superscript numbers alone, because it will look like the number 12. Do I separate them with a comma, or should I just make it one footnote and do a citation and then put my text note under that. I am writing in Turabian style, if that makes a difference. Thanks for your help!

“Our controversy has ended” (Malthus 25).

how do I indicate which letter it’s from? Usually you’re supposed to use an abbreviated title after the author name, but I can’t figure out what an identifying title might be. Can I just leave out additional information since the page number will be enough to place it (all…
